Deagglomerating

When powdery substances are added to fluids, they often form agglomerates, i.e. the solids combine to form lumps. In most cases, this lump formation is unwanted. Sometimes, however, the solids already exist in an agglomerated form. So that the mixing process leads to a homogeneous result, deagglomeration must be performed. The agglomerates are destroyed or their size is reduced to an acceptable grain size.
