Multifunctional thanks to exchangeable shafts and tools

Flexibility is one of the most important requirements today. Production must be able to manufacture a large number of product variants and also newly developed products in an order- and application-oriented manner. To ensure this, multipurpose machines were developed for mixing tasks.

The modular design of the multipurpose units, i.e. exchangeable tool shafts and/or interchangeable mixing and dispersing tools, is only common within the laboratory environment.

The YSTRAL Multipurpose offers flexibility in chemical, food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical production. Different products and product quantities can be manufactured using a single machine and the most suitable tool.

To meet the clean room and pharmaceutical sector requirements, all connections are sealed in accordance with GMP guidelines. Numerous versions with different drive and lifting column combinations add to the versatility of the multipurpose systems.

Functionality of the Multipurpose X50/X100/X200

In just a few steps, the mixing or dispersion tools can be clamped or screwed on, or the tool shaft can be separated from the drive. This means, for example, that work can continue with a second shaft during cleaning. The tool shank has a separate shaft mounted on the motor with a single or double mechanical seal, which is driven via a plug-in connection. An adapter allows you to select the optimum shaft length for your particular production volume and the immersion depth of the shaft. Additional flexibility is provided by the possibility of using a mobile lifting column.

The interchangeable shaft system allows you to work with the following tools:

Jetstream mixer: Homogeneous mixing and suspending without air ingress
High Shear Dispermix: Dispermix with increased shear
TDS Induction Mixer: Dust-free induction and wetting of powders in liquids
Dispermix: Homogeneous mixing and dispersing in a single step
X-Batch Disperser: High-shear dispersion
adapters for small batches: The adapter allows you to use an X50 shaft on a YSTRAL Multipurpose X100 (from 100 l batch size) to cover even quantities in the range of 5 - 100 l.

Other tools can be manufactured on customer request.
