Into the future with passion - Dominik Seeger

SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER AT YSTRAL

The coronavirus hit unexpectedly and hard. The lockdown was a shock for companies and caused turbulence in many industries - for ystral, its customers and the rest of the world. How are you supposed to run a business that thrives on direct collaboration? How to manage projects abroad? How do you make the most of this time of crisis?

Dominik Seeger Dominik Seeger, Head of Strategic Sales

Developing new things and improving existing ones with passion - that is a core value of ystral - 110 percent Mixing Solutions. When our customers have a problem, we don't just find the solution: we also look beyond it. We exploit potential that customers often don't even know is there.

We put our heart and soul into every work step, every project and every customer communication. This also includes finding a way of dealing with the crisis-ridden industries that works for both sides. One customer in Asia had to stop his project due to the lockdown, but still met his payment targets. And conversely, ystral has offered customers in difficult situations to make payments in stages. This shows how much trust there is in the collaboration.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the workforce switched to working from home from one day to the next. This meant we had to push ahead with digitalization in the company quickly. The usual close contact during the many on-site appointments was suddenly no longer possible. That hurt! Would we also be able to show our passion to our customers digitally? New tools were tested and introduced. In the meantime, operations are running relatively smoothly. And although one might fear that digital communication would make collaboration more difficult, it has created a new closeness. Shared suffering with colleagues and customers also brings people closer together.

Augmented reality, for example, makes it possible to look at the plant together - shared vision, shared understanding. This process is currently being tested with a customer. The technology is mature and acceptance is high on both sides. The technology facilitates collaboration and maintenance beyond the times when a lockdown makes it necessary, and brings additional benefits such as savings on travel costs and even faster service.

ystral has also used the time to identify new markets with growing potential. Electromobility is one such market, with challenging blended requirements and associated processes that can be taken to a whole new level using our technology, bringing exceptional and demonstrable value to businesses.

So what does ystral's future look like? This future is digital and innovative. The passion for the right solution and the improvement of customer processes, whether in communication, development or in completely new markets, will allow the company to emerge from the crisis year 2020 strong and invigorated. We are moving forward with the right technology and our hearts in the right place.
